In what Australian media called a fantastic performance, LOPE DE VEGA-son SANTA ANA LANE took the G2 Santos Coffee Premiere Stakes, a AUS$500,000 G2 challenge for sprinters on the undercard of the Randwick-Plate. The six-year-old Lee Freedman-trained edged out opponents with a ferocious late run along the inner rails and clocked in with a new track record! Ben Melham delivered a brilliant ride on Santa Ana Lane, who is now set to challenge internatioal competition in the G1 The Everest in two weeks time.
